Former
super-middle-weight Michael Watson was a huge source of inspiration
yesterday for the five remaining competitors of the Flora
1000 mile challenge.
Watson
suffered terrible injuries in his world title fight with Chris
Eubank in 1991 and after being in a coma and then confined
to a wheelchair.

The
boxer is now adjusting to life back on his feet as he prepares for
his major challenge - the Flora London Marathon on April 13.
Yesterday he was a spectator as he set the competitors off on the
500th mile of their epic journey.
Competitor Rory
Coleman said £He's an incredible guy and to come back like
he has made me feel very humble."
Watson hopes
to raise £1 million for the British Brain and Spine Foundation
by completing the marathon in six days. Eubank will accompany him
on the last day.
